Notice of illegal content (DSA)
Version: 2026-08-28
Effective: 28 August 2026
Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (Digital Services Act) requires hosting services to offer a way to notify alleged illegal content. LohiSoft s.r.o. hosts Homnest. We are not a very large online platform. This is the notice-and-action mechanism for a small host.
What you can report
Content that is illegal under Union law or the law of a Member State, including (non-exhaustive): child sexual abuse material, terrorist content, unlawful hate speech as defined by criminal law, clearly non-consensual intimate images where hosting them is illegal, and IP infringement where you are entitled to act.
Homnest is a household product, not a public social network. Most rooms are visible only to Home members. End-to-end encrypted messages, calls, recordings, photos, receipts, attachments and location cannot be read by us. A report about sealed content should still include everything in the form below; we may act on account, Home, metadata, and access, not by opening ciphertext.
Do not use this form for ordinary household disputes, billing (use the Store), or privacy requests (use privacy).
How to notify (Art. 16)
Email hello@lohisoft.com with the subject line: DSA notice.
Include:
- Your name and email (and organisation if you act for one).
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the information is accurate.
- Why the content is illegal (legal provision if you know it).
- Clear location: Home or conversation identifier if you have it, URL, date/time, users involved, screenshot of what you can see. Do not send Home keys or passwords.
- Whether you are the right-holder (for IP) or a trusted flagger.
You may also write to support@homnest.eu; we will route DSA notices to the same mailbox.
There is no telephone hotline.
What we do
We acknowledge receipt. We assess notices that are sufficiently precise and substantiated. We may:
- ask you for missing facts;
- restrict or suspend an account or Home;
- preserve logs where the law requires;
- inform law enforcement where we are required or entitled to do so.
We cannot decrypt E2E content. If the only copy is sealed, removing the account’s access or deleting ciphertext is the technical action available to us.
We will inform the notifier of our decision, in substance, without undue delay, and of the possibility of judicial redress. If we restrict a recipient’s content or account, we will say so to that user where we have a working email and the law does not forbid notice.
Abuse of this mechanism (repeated bad-faith notices) may be ignored or lead to refusal of further notices from that sender.
Statement of reasons / internal complaint
If we disable content or an account, the affected user may email hello@lohisoft.com with the subject DSA complaint within a reasonable time and explain why the action should be reversed. We will review.
Out-of-court dispute settlement under DSA Art. 21 is available where an eligible certified body exists; we will cooperate as required. You may always go to court.
Criminal content
If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first. SOS in Homnest notifies the household by push, not the police and not SMS.
CSAM and similar must be reported to the competent authority in your country as well as to us.
Transparency
We will add DSA transparency figures if and when the law requires a public report at our size.
